Mission

The WeTHRIVE Initiative is a movement that exists to help people to THRIVE in every area of life so that we can experience TRANSFORMATION, EMPOWERMENT,  and MULTIPLICATION in the local community.

VISION

We want to mobilize the local church to carry out the mission by encouraging all churches and followers of Jesus in the community to join together and commit to:

 

  • PRAYER and WORSHIP (Isaiah 6:7, Matthew 21:13, Mark 11:17) – growing in intimacy with God

  • DISCIPLESHIP (Matthew 28:18-20)- learning how to follow Jesus and help others follow Jesus

  • CARE– taking care of each other as well as the poor, widow, and the orphan in the community. (Acts 2:42-47, James 1:27, 2)

  • SERVICE–learning to figure out what our individual gifts are and use them to grow His kingdom (Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30, Ephesians 2:10)

  • FELLOWSHIP/COMMUNITY– grow in love for one another (John 13:35) and learn to invite others into the community.

 

OUR TEAM

BENTON WARD- FOUNDER

Benton is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and holds a master’s degree in pastoral counseling. With a heart for discipleship, his passion is helping people encounter Jesus, develop a deep understanding of who He is, and grow into the fullness of who God created them to be.

Over the years, Benton has served in a variety of ministry roles—including missionary with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, worship pastor, young adults pastor, youth pastor. He has also served as a chaplain for a drug/alcohol rehab, and social services in home counselor for at risk families.

He currently serves as Worship Director at Albion Assembly of God in Pennsylvania as well as sectional worship rep for the Penndel (Pennsylvania/Delaware) Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God.
